As your professional guide, I will endeavour to bring to you knowledge garnered from a lifetime of residing, birding and traveling right across all regions of Queensland.
We are fortunate to have our home and business base in Cairns, which allows us to regularly access the very best birding sites in the North, including, Atherton Tablelands, Cape York, Western Queensland and the Gulf of Carpentaria.
# We practice and follow ethical birding principles and what is most important to us is placing the welfare of the birds and their natural habitats first.
# We have a passion for sharing endemic and iconic bird species as well as their remarkable habitats, whilst still undertaking our best effort to make sure that these experiences are to remain sustainable and attainable for our future generations to also enjoy.
# Giving back to remote and local communities where possible is important to us. Including making use of local indigenous guides/rangers/tours and where possible staying in indigenous managed accommodation businesses.
# We have a 'small groups' only policy (maximum of 4 guests) this allows us to carefully and quietly enjoy our birding and photography, whilst leaving a much smaller impact on our chosen locations.
# Safe and comfortable touring in new model luxury vehicles.
# Experienced North Queensalnd birding guide with 'Wet Tropics' certifications and 'Savanna Guides' accredititaion.
# Current holder of Queensland Transport Driver Authorization and Vehicle Operator Accreditations.
# Your guide also holds all relevant insurances, National Park permits and First Aid qualifications.
# Carrying of off-road vehicle safety equipment as well as satellite communications.
# Local knowledge in remote birding locations over many years has helped us to fine-tune or optimize your birding time spent in the field.
# Ability to efficiently operate not only a core list of scheduled tours, but to also structure 'Private Charters' for visiting birders and photographers who have specific target species or destination ideas.
