This fully accommodated adventure is run as a circuit tour through some of the more remote and outstanding birding locations in South West Queensland. It begins and concludes in Longreach the ‘Home of QANTAS’ and the ‘Stockman’s Hall of Fame’. This central Queensland town does have flights to and from Brisbane.

Additional experiences include a visit to the eye-opening marine fossil display at the outback town of Boulia and a fabulous tour of the ‘Lark Quarry Dinosaur Stampede’ south of Winton, a wonderful insight into life beside a waterhole many millions of years ago. Also optional extra tour of the ‘Australian Age of Dinosaurs’- Winton.

Apart from just being out there and immersing oneself into the vastness of Outback Queensland, this selected route is undertaken to enable us to target a very special suite of birds. Including: Opalton, Eyrean and Grey Grasswren, Grey Falcon, Painted Finch, Spinifexbird, Halls and Chestnut-crowned Babbler, Flock Bronzewing, Rufous-crowned Emu-wren, Gibberbird, Cinnamon Quail-thrush and Inland Dotterel to name a few.
